WEDDINGS For anyone seeking a unique setting for their wedding, Israel has a lot to offer in the way of scenic views and meaningful venues with historical and spiritual significance. Moreover, having 6 months of guaranteed rain-free weather allows for safe outdoor planning. However, before proceeding to our various service vendors, who will contribute to the success of this celebration, anyone planning a wedding in Israel needs to consider one very important matter:
A wedding performed in Israel will be legally recognized here only if it is a religious ceremony registered, and conducted, in accordance with the doctrines of the couple's religious community. This means that in order for a wedding in Israel to be officially recognized and for the couple to return home with a marriage certificate, they must first register with the applicable religious authority: Jewish couples- -with the local Israel Rabbinate; Christians- - with the officials of a recognized denomination; Muslims- -with the local Sha'ariah authority. Each of these has its own set of rules and regulations with which one must comply.
B'Rosh Shaket can instruct and guide you through this bureaucratic process.
Alternatively, couples who are not residents of Israel sometimes choose to have a wedding ceremony of their choice (or even of their own design) performed -- but not registered-- here. In that case, they generally have a civil marriage in their place of residence abroad. That marriage generally will be recognized in Israel.
In addition to our regular service vendors, special additional services are included in our wedding package, such as: bridal gown designers, retailers and rentals; wedding-canopy design; hairdressers and make-up specialists; and a list of rabbis of various affiliations.
